Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. It was started by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in 2016 and has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. This year’s ten days of united prayer from Ascension to Pentecost starts on Thursday, 21st May. There are many activities to help Christians to pray, including a Daily Prayer Journal which can be downloaded, opportunities to join in with 24/7 Prayer Rooms, several videos and also an All Age Family Prayer Adventure Map.
The suggestion is that everyone thinks of 5 people they would like to come to know Jesus and to pray for them each day.

Easter
If your exercise takes you through the churchyard and past the church, you may want to take a look in the porch (and even add a plant of your own, perhaps).
Easter still happens even if we cannot be together at this time.
Easter Challenge
Easter Challenge for all!
As we won’t be able to have a Good Friday Activities morning, or a service together on Easter Sunday we would like you to think about making an Easter Garden. You could do this indoors or out, on a small or large scale; on a plate, in a bowl, in a corner of the garden – wherever you choose. You could use natural materials or craft materials like tissue paper, lollipop sticks etc. When you have made it could you take a photo and send it to:
We will then upload all your gardens onto the website (no names will be attached because of safeguarding).
If you google “Easter Garden activity” there are lots of ideas to get you going.
Have fun!

Update on activities – all services cancelled
Minnows and Funky Fish are cancelled until further notice.
The Archbishops have decided that no public services are to be held until further notice. Accordingly, all services are cancelled. It has been stated that small weddings and funerals can proceed. Please contact the Rector for further information.
Services suspended
The church has now closed for communal worship. The PCC has decided that the current risk level is too high to safely invite members to congregate in church. The situation will be reviewed regularly and services re-started as soon as possible. In the mean time, we will continue to produce a weekly podcast.
Words can be found in a separate podcast listing.
Gwen Miller
It is with great sadness that we have heard of the death of Gwen Miller. Gwen has not been well for the last few years but had kept all of her faculties and her faith remained steadfast. She has now moved on to meet her Saviour face to face. Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
Christmas Concert
There is a concert in church this Saturday (14th December) at 7.30 pm.
The event involves members from 6 local choirs with Anne and Dana de Waal leading the massed choirs. There will be a collection at the event for the work of Project Arusha in Africa. The event itself is free admission.
