The Nativity Trail – now starting from 3 pm

Don’t forget the Nativity Trail along Rectory Lane tomorrow (24th December) evening between 3 and 6 pm. A series of tableau depicting the Nativity Story starting at No 24 and continuing to the end of the lane. Refreshments of mulled wine, drinks. mince pies and other goodies at the far end. Donations for the work of the Childrens’ Society would be welcomed. Thanks to Damsons, Linda Morris and countless other village residents for supporting this event, as well as the residents making their gardens available.

Alternative to Christingles

As the Christingle cannot take place this year an alternative would be to tell the Christmas Story ( Scarecrow like) along Rectory Lane.

We have enough gardens but now need models – we need the following:

4 Mary’s – two to be pregnant

3 Joseph’s

2 Large Angels

6 Small Angels

1 Inn Keeper

2 Donkeys

4 Shepherds

4 Sheep

6 Kings

2 Big StarsOx

4 Gazebos

Some Battery powered fairy lights props/costumes that could be used. It will be on display from lunchtime Christmas Eve culminating in a socially distance mulled wine and mince pies accompanied by Carols from 4-6

If you are feeling creative please let Kate know what you can do 01332 834928. Let’s embrace this with our great village spirit.

Bank Holiday Coffee Morning – weather permitting

Come and join us for a socially-distanced Coffee Morning in the Church garden on Monday morning, August 31st. You will need to bring your own flask of coffee, or other beverage, your own cup and anything you may want to eat. We will provide chairs. It would be lovely to see you and spend a little time catching up and chatting. We will only meet if the weather is favourable.

Resumption of services

Finally we are able to gather again for worship.

Our first service at Breadsall will be at 10:15 on the 26th of July and it is our intention to continue with that service each Sunday going forward.
